Born in Arizona,
Joe Louis Molina has lived in Colorado for over 30 years. A poverty stricken childhood motivated Joe to move towards an artistic path of self-expression. He is a multi-media artist who creates raku pottery and large scale paintings. Much of his inspiration is derived from his travels. Each work that he creates is unique and comes from his heart. As a student, he learned to channel his emotions and translate them into personal works of art.
Joe Molina has made himself acutely attuned to the natural world and its processes – both those that create balance and cause destruction. It was initially this awareness that sparked his creative career as he sought a way to respond to the 2009 Tsunami. Though Joe began with collage and pottery, lately he has turned to large-scale acrylic painting to better articulate the full scope of this inspiration. Molina uses the immense picture plane of the canvas to heighten the colors of nature and enhance the tranquility of the sublime.
Molina is an artistic impressionist painter whose work often reflects his love of nature. Not afraid to take risks, Joe has been known to mix wine and paint together to create his artwork, and lately has included gems to create a third dimension. Joe Molina, with Mexican and Native American roots, and married to a Japanese American woman, uses these influences to create his art. His appreciation of diversity and culture, combined with his life experiences, has enabled him to craft a large body of artwork. His painted scenes of Africa, tsunamis of Japan, and aspen trees truly provide an admirer a quick glimpse at his wide artistic views, in addition to his vivid use of color.
Just as quickly as Joe stumbled into pottery, he also found his niche as a painter. In an attempt to practice his painting so that he could paint on his four foot tall vases, Joe began his journey to becoming a well-known artist. He began to paint in the middle of the night and his painting never stopped. The home office turned into a makeshift studio. Then, he began to take over the garage, and soon he had his own studio and warehouse to work out of. Who knows what will transpire in the future for Molina. If you blink, you might miss out!
“Changing our world one Art Creation at a time” -Joe Molina
I am an artist and artists feel life, love, pain, and
most emotions with more intensity than most people.
I intuitively feel, process, intellectualize and articulate
my interpretation of my own reality.
All that I am and say, I feel is real and haunts others.
I am thankful for the ability to describe many
unspoken emotions through my art and hope that it
resonates with others.

The 2014 gallery features artwork that is ready to be licensed to manufacturers and sold to large-scale retail stores around the world.
Joe Molina is a multi medium artist and expresses his work through the healing powers of color. Painting, sculpting, photography, collage, and ceramics are just a few artistic languages that he speaks.
His philosophy is “Art is everywhere and is for everyone.” He feels that a diverse array of cultures is represented through his work. As he paint scenes of Africa, tsunamis of Japan, and aspen trees he truly try's to provide a glimpse into his wide artistic views. Mother Earth is his inspiration and living in beautiful Colorado and it's four seasons provides him enough subject matter to last a lifetime.
His life in the past few years has been a blessing and would be difficult to describe into words. He feels that he is on a quest/journey with something that has been with him all his life but has recently decided to manifest itself and change his life. “I can honestly say that for those that are not into art or for those people that are not interested, Art captivates everyone’s imagination. By looking at artwork or even just a glimpse, they have engaged into a silent conversation with the piece”.
Art is everywhere and is for everyone!
Thank you for the Love of Art!
I'm living for today and dying for tomorrow!
Just sharing my deepest thoughts.
Coping with the reality of being myself and my life.
As an artist my job is to create thought provoking ideas and sometimes it's painful.
The day that we are born, the slow process of dying begins.
It truly is up to you on your own demise and the mark that you leave behind!
I have hope for everyone!
We will survive, we will accomplish, we will succeed!
I'm holding strong with the blessing of tomorrow.
Day by day!
My heart goes out to those that understand that we are all connected and need one another!
I will Fight !! Many causes !! Show something that is dark and says I am what I am. I will die for it!! I will show beauty and fear !!! Dark is what I am inside at times !! All that we are is trying to find a place to belong !!
Art is freedom !!
The three letters that changed my whole life about four years ago. Not Man, God, not even Woman, but ART. Art is everywhere and for everyone. We see it, wear it, taste it, hear it, smell it, think it, and create it. ART IS LIFE! It changes our world. I live it, I Love it, and I Feel it. If I have ever stood up for anything it would be this and it is a way of life that is for those that need to be woken. A massage that must be said. Thought Art I can finally communicate and express what I've been trying to say all my life.
Changing our world one art creation at a time.
A new day, A new way, a new life. Stand for what you believe in. With passion, companion, and love stand up for those that cannot. I will fight for a positive change. Fight for those that might be afraid to speak out in fear of being criticized, ostracized, losing a job or just do not know how to articulate there thought into words. Art dose that for us all. It liberates us and gives us the freedom.
All Life Suffering! Everyone living thing! It's a choice on how we choose to live it. I wouldn't have it any other way. It makes me who we are. Changing who you are is not the answer. We are all born with a gift and that is simply be you. No regrets but only another reminder that we can make a positive difference in the life of others. Smile and tears.
This conversation needs to happen!
I'm preparing for new and good things to happen knowing that it's not for me or about me. It's only for you and about you. I only hope this conversation will help guide others and open up a dialog for spiritual uplifting.
Once you create a masterpiece, it is no longer yours, it belongs to the world....as you know. Dialogue is important, we're all in this together. You see life from the eyes of an Empathic. You see and feel all of our pain and then interpret it through your art. To me, art comes from the soul.
It is very soulful and for myself, it feeds the soul!

Raku Fired Pottery...
Joe Molina
OWNER. MOLINA ART, Pop-Up Gallery AND JOE MOLINA GALLERY AND STUDIOS
Colorado.
As an ever-evolving artist, Joe says he wakes up every morning with a new set of eyes, ready to experience his senses, influence and be inspired.
"Art is everything," says Joe, who has lived in Colorado for than 30 years. "We all have a gift to share, do you know yours?"
The seed for Joe's love of self-expression was planted during his elementary school years among trying circumstances. Joe's family experienced multiple moves, and, as a result, Joe enrolled in several schools before settling into housing projects on the north side of Greeley.
The subject ridicule and bullying in his formative school years, Joe turned one negative moniker - Day Dreamer - into a positive source of motivation that describes his artistic spirit.
"As a student, I learned to channel my emotions and translate them into personal works of art." Joe says.
Today. Joe is a multi-media artist, gallery owner, Raku potter and impressionist painter whose work has been showcased in more than 40 galleries and exhibits in Colorado. Much of Joe's artistic inspiration has derived from his international travels.
As a result, Joe says he has made himself acutely aware of and attune to the natural world, its beauty and processes. Joe's painted scenes of Africa, tsunamis of Asia, and aspen trees closer to home are a few examples. In addition, Joe is proud to call himself a friend to so many others across the world, those friends include artists, and non-artists, of every stripe.
Joe's artistic pursuits began with collage and pottery, and since have turned to acrylic painting. Another core influence of Joe's work and life are his Spanish, Mexican, and Native American roots.
As a self-described "family man," Joe strives to inspire and encourage them to "be resilient, overcome challenges and never give up on your dreams."
Even though Joe says his life has been challenging, he says he would not change a thing. Joe says he creates art for everyone, knowing there is true beauty behind his creations that may touch the emotions of others.
Including the heart of a little boy who was once called a "Day Dreamer."
